Pitt men’s soccer aiming for third straight win over ranked team

Before this season, the Pitt men’s soccer team hadn’t beaten a ranked team since 2008. Now they’re aiming to do it for the third time in as many games.

Last week, Pitt knocked off No. 21 Syracuse and a few days later, beat No. 14 Columbia. Tonight, the Panthers will try to take down No. 19 Duke at home.

Home has been good to Pitt, who is 4-1 at Ambrose Urbanic Field. The Panthers are now 6-5 on the season and have only given up one goal total in their past three games. They are starting to get more national recognition and were named last week’s NCAA Men’s Soccer Team of the Week.
