The Pittsburgh Panthers picked up their first commitment from the class of 2024 from a familiar name. Guard Brandin Cummings, who is the younger brother of current Pitt guard Nelly Cummings, has given his commitment to Jeff Capel.
Cummings is a three-star guard out of Midland, Pennsylvania, and had offers from Creighton, Duquesne, and South Carolina. Speaking to Joe Tipton of On3, Cummings gave his insight into why he chose the University of Pittsburgh.
“I chose Pitt because this is where I’m from,” Cummings said to On3. “It’s home to me and I really believe in coach (Jeff) Capel and his vision for me and the program.
