Pitt fans will get an early look at Pat Narduzzi’s second outfit Saturday as the Panthers play their annual spring game at Heinz Field. Here are three storylines to watch when Pitt takes the field:
1. Nate Peterman. Narduzzi praised the quarterback’s leadership ability, something that will come in handy during his second year running the offense — an offense that said goodbye to top playmaker Tyler Boyd, and one that features no other quarterbacks with extended FBS experience. Peterman assumed starting duties early last year after transferring from Tennessee, and he’s working with his second offensive coordinator in Matt Canada.
