The news for the quarterback room for the Pittsburgh Panthers was fast and furious on Monday. With Slovis leaving through the transfer portal and Phil Jurkovec coming through the portal from Boston College, Pitt still was looking to add a quarterback in the recruiting class of 2023. While losing Minchey was a blow for the Panthers they have been able to pivot and ended up with a flip of their own. 2023 three-star quarterback Ty Dieffenbach has committed to Pitt after de-committing from UNLV on the same day.
Dieffenbach is from Agoura Hills, California, stands at 6’5, and is currently the 96th-ranked quarterback according to 24/7 Sports.
