Pitt-Duke matchup postponed due to positive COVID-19 test

Pitt’s matchup with Duke, which was set to tip off at 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday, has been postponed following a positive COVID-19 test within the Pitt program. The ACC first announced the news on Monday afternoon.

Following the positive test, members of the Pitt program quarantined and went through contact-tracing procedures. Pitt also noted in a statement that it is adhering to the COVID-19 protocols outlined by the ACC Medical Advisory Group.

The positive test is Pitt’s second to be announced in the last 10 days, as it was revealed on Dec. 19 that Panthers head coach Jeff Capel had tested positive for COVID-19.
