Pitt drops one to SMU 76-67

Pitt dropped their first game of the season to the Mustangs of SMU by a score of 76-67. The Panthers were led offensively by seniors Michael Young and Jamel Artis, who finished with 22 and 20 respectively. Cameron Johnson contributed 9, and Ryan Luther chipped in 7 off the bench.

The first half proved to be a game of runs, as both teams extended large leads only to have them disappear minutes later. Pitt had the final run of the first half with a 13-0 to take a 33-31 halftime lead.

The second half seemed to go in favor of the Mustangs really quickly.
