An 8-0 by freshman forward Justin Champagnie in the games opening minute had the Pittsburgh Panthers (10-3, 1-1) thinking blowout going into ACC play this weekend. The Canisius Golden Griffins (5-7, 0-1) had other ideas on Saturday afternoon, however.
On getting into a rhythm early in the game, Champagnie said, “It feels good, my confidence just shoots up when that happens.”
Despite getting whatever they wanted on the offensive end, Pitt closed the half trying to make splashy plays rather than the ones that allowed them to build a 13-point lead by the 12:12 mark in the first half.
