Pitt Crawls Past Western Carolina, 79-73

The Pittsburgh Panthers (10-1) eventually decided it was in their best interest to beat the Western Carolina Catamounts (4-8) on a sleepy game before Christmas.

It appeared as though the Pittsburgh Panthers had sugar plums dancing in their heads on Wednesday evening. They barely sleepwalked past the Western Carolina Catamounts who entered the Petersen Events Center with hopes of getting an early Christmas present.

The recipe for an upset was in the making: A very disinterested Pitt team outside of Jamel Artis and James Robinson, early foul trouble for Rafael Maia, an uncharacteristically sloppy Michael Young, and a fast start.
