It was only one game but it was enough to get the attention of the ACC. On Monday, Pitt center Michael Young was named the Co-ACC Player of the Week.

For Young, it was the first time winning the award. He shared the honor with North Carolina's Joel Barry.

Young earned the award for his play against Eastern Michigan in the team's opener on Friday. For Pitt, it was a narrow victory. The Panthers needed double overtime to take out the Eagles. Fortunately for them, they had Young, who turned in a huge performance.

Young dropped 26 points, five assists, and a team-high ten rebounds on his way to a double double.
