Pitt basketball program hosting fundraising event for pediatric cancer research

The Pitt men’s basketball team is hosting Slippery Rock on Saturday as the open the season. Part of the game will be dedicated to a great cause as the program will raise funds to combat pediatric cancer.

$5.00 from every ticket sold will go towards research for local pediatric cancer and head coach Kevin Stallings and the Oakland Zoo will add another dollar to that for every fan in attendance. Students will also raise funds in a post-game event to shoot baskets afterwards.
