Last week, Pitt defeated Syracuse and Maryland Eastern Shore. This week, they found themselves moving up in the polls.
The 2-0 week helped the Panthers crack the AP Poll for the first time this year and Pitt is now ranked in both the AP and Coaches Polls. The team moved up to No. 24 in the AP Poll, rising a total of five spots after being previously unranked. The Panthers moved up four spots in the Coaches Poll where they were ranked No. 25 last week. Pitt hadn't been ranked in the AP poll in nearly two years, last appearing there in February 2014.
