Pitt's basketball team has raced out to a 10-1 start and with wins last week against Davidson and Western Carolina, the Panthers found themselves in this week's Top 25 rankings.
Pitt didn't get into the AP Poll, finishing with the fourth most points of the team's in the Others Receiving Votes category, essentially good for 29th. However, the coaches slotted the Panthers 25th in their USA Today Poll and their 49 points barely topped UConn's 47.
The team's win against Davidson was impressive while their six-point win on Wednesday against Western Carolina was less so.
