Early this season, Pitt's men's basketball team hadn't gotten much respect in the polls. With a 4-0 start, however, that's starting to change a little.
The Panthers still aren't ranked or even one of the top teams receiving votes. They are, however, at least getting a little more recognition on voters' ballots.
This week, the Panthers picked up eight points in the Coaches poll - essentially good for 37th in the country. They got even more love in the AP poll with a total of 11 points - slotting them at 34th in the nation. In last week's rankings, Pitt had not secured even a single point in either poll.
