Some news on the basketball front broke earlier today when it was reported that Pitt assistant Jeremy Ballard would be leaving the program and headed to VCU.
Per the Post-Gazette article, he will be reuniting with Mike Rhoades, the new head coach there. Rhoades and Ballard previously worked together there as assistants.
Not a huge deal but Stallings now has an opening available to him.
Ballard was reportedly a candidate for the head coaching job at Morehead State before losing out. He had been an assistant at several other smaller stops previously, including VCU, Tulsa, Colgate, and immediately before Pitt, Illinois State.
