The Pitt baseball team finished its season this weekend with a series against No. 7 Georgia Tech. The Panthers pulled off an upset in Game 3 but lost Games 1 and 2 to drop the series.
Pitt (21-34) did some damage offensively in Game 1 against Georgia Tech (38-16) but ultimately lost 12-7. They then dropped a close 2-0 game in Game 2 before winning handily in the finale, 9-3.
For the Panthers, that’s sort of been the story of the season. The team has generally been able to take a game in a series but has fallen short in trying to win a second.
