Pitt baseball moves to 6-1 with weekend sweep over Grambling State

Pitt's baseball team opened its season last weekend going 3-1. The Panthers finished with a disappointing loss to Niagara but rebounded well this weekend.

Pitt swept Grambling State in three games, dominating in each one. The Panthers won by at least eight runs in each contest, with 16-6, 14-6, and 18-5 victories. While the final score in Sunday's 18-5 victory was lopsided, that was a close contest until the Panthers blew things open for a 15-run (nope, not a typo) seventh inning.

Sunday's win was extra special as it was the 800th career win for head coach Joe Jordano.
