The Pitt baseball team won a game on Saturday but with a 5-3 defeat at the hands of Miami on Sunday, dropped its fourth straight ACC series.
The 5-3 loss on Sunday was a stark contrast from the first two games, which were offensive slugfests. Pitt scored ten runs against the Hurricanes in Game 1 but even that wasn’t enough to win with Miami scoring 13. Saturday, Pitt pulled out an 11-10 victory.
With earlier losses to NC State, Virginia Tech, and Virginia, the Panthers are 0-4 in ACC series’ this season. And while some of the games have been close, Pitt hasn’t been real competitive as a whole.
