Pitt announced in a press release on Wednesday that Saturday’s matchup with North Carolina at the Petersen Events Center will be played before a sellout crowd. While general seating for the Panthers’ ACC opener is no longer available at the box office, tickets are still available on the secondary market, with most secondary sellers’ cheapest offerings in the $40 to $50 range.
In addition to marking Pitt head coach Jeff Capel’s first conference tilt since leaving his post as Duke’s associate head coach, the game pits the Panthers against the 15th-ranked team in the country and gives fans a glimpse at what has become of Pitt transfer Cameron Johnson.
