Former Pitt running back Darrin Hall was signed to the Pittsburgh Steelers’ practice squad on Wednesday, according to an announcement from the team. Hall, a native of Youngstown, Ohio, joins the team at a pivotal time, as the Steelers have suffered a rash of injuries at the running back position. Jaylen Samuels, Benny Snell and former Pitt star James Conner were all hurt in recent weeks.
We have released TE Kevin Rader and have signed RB Darrin Hall to our practice squad.

Of those players, Samuels is the only one currently expected to return from injury in time for the team’s matchup with the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, and the only man behind Samuels on the depth chart is Trey Edmunds.
