Pat Narduzzi and the Pitt coaching staff picked up a commitment from a WPIAL standout on Thursday afternoon, as Aliquippa quarterback Eli Kosanovich announced that he would be staying home to join the Panthers as a walk-on.
”I would like to thank my entire family, Coach Warfield, Coach Devonshire, the entire coaching staff at Aliquippa, FASTER and anyone else who helped me get to this point,” Kosanovich wrote in a message on Twitter. “After talks with my family, I am going to further my academic and athletic career at the University of Pittsburgh.”
Kosanovich only started at quarterback for the Quips during his senior season in 2018, but he proved to be a natural, throwing for 3,189 yards and 39 touchdowns.
