Butler checks in as a three-star recruit by both Rivals and 24/7. He had other offfers from Temple, Fresno State, and Toledo among others in addition to Pitt and NC State. Butler plays for American Heritage High School in Plantation, Florida. The Patriots are generally one of the top high school programs in not only Florida, but in the entire country.
