Pat Narduzzi alerted the masses this afternoon in his usual way, signaling Pitt received a new commitment. Demarri Mathis confirmed just moments ago that he was the new commitment to the Panthers’ program.
Damarri Mathis is a 5’11” 180 pound cornerback from Lakeland, Florida. He was initially committed to South Carolina, but de-committed from the Gamecocks last month. In the interim, Mathis took an official visit to Pitt earlier this month and decided to make his pledge to Pitt tonight.
Mathis grades out as a three-star prospect across all four major recruiting services.
