Pitt head coach Pat Narduzzi signaled the arrival of the program’s 15th recruit of the 2019 cycle on Friday afternoon, and just after 8 p.m. ET the same night, cornerback A.J. Woods of Germantown, Maryland, stepped forward and announced his commitment to the program.
“I am excited to say I have officially switched my commitment to the University of Pittsburgh,” Woods said in a statement posted on Twitter. He also thanked the coaches at both Pitt and James Madison, the FCS university he decommitted from in order to move on to Pittsburgh.
Woods previously committed to JMU coach Mike Houston and the Dukes on June 25.
