Nate Oats got a bump in salary and an increased buyout from Buffalo before the NCAA Tournament. Even the local paper there, concedes that it means nothing.
The extension, signed March 8 during the Mid-American Conference Tournament, increased Oats’ annual base salary from $355,500 to $600,000, making him one of the higher-paid coaches in the league.
