Pitt cornerback Lafayette Pitts was not expected to be selected in the NFL Draft. He wasn't but did latch on with the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent.
It sounds, too, like Pitts had several offers to choose from before electing to join the Dolphins:

Pitts was a four-year starter with the Panthers but was oft maligned by fans.
