The ACC women’s basketball media day was held today and the conference and a panel of experts aren’t expecting too much from Pitt this season.
The Panthers were voted to finish 13th (out of 15 teams) by a ‘Blue Ribbon’ panel and picked 14th by the coaches. In addition, no Panthers were selected to either preseason team or the Newcomer Team.
Brenna Wise would have been a likely pick for the Panthers, but she transferred to Indiana this offseason. Her departure also certainly hurt the team in the rankings as she was arguably Pitt’s best player last season.
