When the Buffalo Bills traded for former Pitt and Philadelphia Eagles star Lesean McCoy, it was expected that he would immediately become the team's top option in the backfield. Recently, teammate and fellow running back Fred Jackson discussed just how busy Shady might be:
"I don’t know exactly what my role is going to be," the ninth-year veteran told WGR. "They say that they want Shady (McCoy) to get 300-plus carries next year. So that’s a guy you’re feeding the ball all the time. So I’ll be ready when my number is called."
That isn't a total surprise and 300 carries isn't something that he hasn't done before.
