Lamar Patterson waived by Atlanta Hawks, signed by Sacramento Kings

Former Pitt star Lamar Patterson has a new home in the NBA.

Patterson was drafted in the second round of the 2014 NBA Draft and after playing in Turkey later that year, he joined the Hawks last season for his debut. While he played a good bit in the first half of last season, Patterson was routinely back and forth between the NBA and the NBDL, not playing much in the second half.

As a whole, he averaged 2.4 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 1.1 assists on the season.

The Hawks made a splash this offseason in adding Dwight Howard and they also re-signed forward Kris Humphries.
