Pitt star Justin Champagnie wrapped up his sophomore season on Tuesday, logging his 14th double-double and posting his 20th consecutive double-figure point total in Pitt’s 79-73 loss to Miami. And on Wednesday morning, Dick Vitale honored him with a place on the ESPN All-America second team.
Joining Champagnie on the second team were Baylor point guard Jared Butler, Indiana power forward Trayce Jackson-Davis, Villanova point guard Collin Gillespie and Gonzaga center Drew Timme. Back in January, Champagnie and Butler were both named to ESPN’s midseason All-America first team, but they were unable to finish with first-team status.
