Pitt volleyball coach Dan Fisher landed a key recruit from the junior college ranks on Thursday, as Jordan Lockwood, the AVCA National Player of the Year at the JUCO level in 2019, committed to the program.
Lockwood is a native of Friendswood, Texas, and she played for Houston in 2018 before transferring to Navarro College in Corsicana, Texas. As a freshman with the Cougars, the 6’2” outside hitter averaged 1.19 kills and 0.40 blocks per set over 21 matches. And in 2019, Lockwood upped her kills per set to 3.97, while averaging 4.70 points at Navarro. Both of those ranked among the top 10 in the nation.
