After a quick moving 36 hours or so, it's now official. Former Vanderbilt Commodores head coach Kevin Stallings has been hired by Pitt to replace Jamie Dixon, who left for the TCU job.
Stallings has been an unpopular choice among the fanbase, so it's going to be interesting to see how this plays out. Athletic director Scott Barnes has been hailed as a hero up to this point but there's no question that the hire has angered a large chunk of the fan base.
Stallings has had a thoroughly unimpressive career in comparison to that of former coach Jamie Dixon.
