Indiana WR Taysir Mack Announces Surprise Transfer to Pitt

Just when you thought the recruiting season had peaked for the time being, this morning Pat Narduzzi sent out a tweet that caught fans of two programs off guard:

Mack had not previously announced any intent to transfer from Indiana, nor were there any credible rumors being circulated about his departure. Indiana SB Nation blog Crimson Quarry ran their version of this story with the headline “Indiana wideout Taysir Mack is transferring to Pitt, Apparently” and the announcement was not preceded by the typical Pat Signal herald from Coach Narduzzi’s twitter.

Mack (6’2’’, 200lb) played a fair bit at Indiana in his freshman season, having three touchdowns, three games with six or more catches and two 100-yard games (against Charleston Southern and Purdue) to his name.
