Ben DiNucci didn't have a great game on Saturday but he did enough to help Pitt's football team pull out a win against Duke. That was good enough for head coach Pat Narduzzi, who will stick with him as the starter for the Virginia contest.
The experimenting with true freshman Kenny Pickett seems to be over at this point. DiNucci's status as the starter was in question as recently as last week but despite a so-so game, he was never taken out of the Duke contest.
It's pretty clear that Narduzzi values ball security over the ability to make plays at this point.
