Virginia Tech hired the hot name last off-season to replace the legendary Frank Beamer. Justin Fuente is the new man in charge of the Hokies and his 4-1 start has landed VT at 17th in the AP Poll and 19th in the Coaches’ Poll. Not a bad start, but what do we really know about Tech?
We know they lost to nationally ranked Tennessee, but also fumbled five times (losing three), in that game. They have won four games, but three of them are to Boston College, Liberty, and East Carolina. The fourth was an impressive thumping of North Carolina, but it was also in a driving rain storm, which no doubt, hurts UNC’s passing attack.
