Georgia has hired Jim Chaney from Pitt to be its offensive coordinator, joining new Bulldogs coach Kirby Smart's staff.
Chaney, 53, is familiar with the SEC, having spent this season at Pitt after two years at Arkansas and four at Tennessee. He is known for his dynamic passing offenses, including coaching Drew Brees at Purdue, but also led a power-running attack with the Razorbacks.
"On behalf of our entire program, I would like to thank Jim for his contributions to Pitt," Panthers coach Pat Narduzzi said in a release.
