The ACC handed out its conference awards for football on Monday and four Pitt players were named to All-Conference teams.
Leading the way was offensive tackle Brian O’Neill and punter Ryan Winslow, who both made the first team. Quadree Henderson was named to the second team as a specialist and Avonte Maddox made the third team.
Five others received Honorable Mentions, including Henderson (as an all-purpose player), safety Jordan Whitehead, guard Alex Bookser, guard Alex Officer, and linebacker Oluwaseun Idowu.
I don’t know where Idowu ranked in terms of stats over guys that were named to teams but I felt like he could have been on one of the squads.
