Last year, former Pitt football player LaRod Stephens-Howling joined Pat Narduzzi and the Panthers as a graduate assistant. Stephens-Howling is looking to add to his coaching resume and on Thursday, was named as Robert Morris' new running backs coach.
Stephens-Howling had a solid career as a running back at Pitt before heading to the NFL. He played for five seasons with the Arizona Cardinals and Pittsburgh Steelers until he tore his ACL in his only game with the Steelers. That effectively ended his career and he joined Pitt's staff last season.
Glad to see him sticking with the coaching thing and staying involved in the game.
