Former Pitt cornerback Darrelle Revis was honored on Tuesday as an inductee into the WPIAL Hall of Fame for his contributions at Aliquippa High School, according to a WPIAL press release. Revis played defensive back and running back among other positions for the Quips football team between 2001 and 2003. Revis was one of eight former WPIAL athletes honored in what was intended to be the 2020 class. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the WPIAL has delayed the induction ceremony for this year’s class until May 2021.
Some of Revis’ greatest accomplishments with the Quips came in 2003, when he led the football team to a 14-1 record and a state title.
