Former Pitt safety Bricen Garner entered the NCAA transfer portal in January, and on Tuesday evening, he announced that he had completed a transfer to Western Michigan of the MAC. The move comes after a four-year career with his hometown school that was spent primarily in a reserve role.
“I’m thankful for the opportunity to have played, studied and graduated from the the University of Pittsburgh,” Garner wrote in a message posted on Twitter. “The city will forever hold a special place in my heart. With that being said, I will play my last year of college eligibility at Western Michigan University.
