Well, this is fantastic news for Pitt fans. Hinson was a revelation in his first season in Oakland, leading Pitt in scoring, rebounding, and three pointers made. He scored in double figures in 30/36 games while topping 20 in nine contests. Rust was not an issue as Hinson scored 27 in his season debut against UT-Martin despite missing the past two seasons.
Hinson appears to have lost a little weight since the end of last season, which should increase his effectiveness. He’ll face an uphill battle for the 2024 NBA draft as he’ll turn 24 this December as not many 24 year olds are drafted nowadays.
