Pitt guard Au’Diese Toney will reportedly undergo a knee procedure on Friday, according to Craig Meyer of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. The procedure is said to be minor, and the purpose is to remove screws that were inserted in Toney's knee after he broke his leg in high school.
The news comes one day after Pitt head coach Jeff Capel announced that Kene Chukwuka would undergo hip surgery as a result of lingering ailments that hindered the Swedish forward during his junior season. However, Toney’s procedure should be less invasive and will likely involve a shorter recovery period.
