Pitt forward Amanda West was named to the All-Atlantic Region first team by the United Soccer Coaches organization last week, becoming the first player in program history to earn first-team all-region honors.
The honor follows a campaign in which West set a Pitt record for goals in a single season, scoring 13 times in 16 games. That ranked fifth in the nation and second among major-conference players. The only major-conference player with more goals was North Carolina's Brianna Pinto, who had 14 in 20 games.
West also tallied seven assists, leading the team in the category for the second straight season and bringing her point total to a program-record 33 for the season.
