Early Games

Boston College Eagles 26 at Duke Blue Devils 6

The Eagles defense looked good in their opener and so did transfer quarterback Phil Jurkovec. I’ll admit I was a bit surprised that Duke was able to shut down the BC rushing attack as well as they did (1.0 yard per attempt, or 3.6 if you remove the quarterback), but the BC defense gave an encore performance of last year’s season opener by taking the ball away five times (three fumbles recovered plus two interceptions).
