With four wins and three winnable games remaining, Pitt is considered likely to go bowling by all eleven projections I looked at - and is being given pretty favorable spots, to boot. Ten of the eleven projections put Pitt in the ACC’s higher-payout bowls, which would be a considerable step up from the likes of most recent seasons. Some even have them in the TaxSlayer (Gator) Bowl!
(However, me writing this article now also ensures that Pitt will go 1-5 the rest of the season and miss eligibility altogether. Whoops.)
Notre Dame is eligible for the ACC's bowl tie-ins and is thus included here.
