The Phoenix Suns battled without their best player, but they couldn’t stop Kemba Walker – or their losing skid.
Walker scored 18 of his 29 points in the final five minutes Sunday night in leading Charlotte to a 119-113 win. With Devin Booker missing the second half with back spasms, the Suns suffered a sixth consecutive loss at Talking Stick Resort Arena.
“Losing Devin Booker in the first half kind of changed the game plan,” Suns coach Igor Kokoskov said. “He’s a big piece, he’s a big part of our team. We have to adjust on the fly and kept the game close.
