Winning matters when it comes to becoming an NBA All-Star, just ask the Suns' Devin Booker

Two weeks ago, Devin Booker was all smiles when his close friend D’Angelo Russell and former Kentucky teammate Karl-Anthony Towns were named to the 2019 NBA All-Star team.

“Very, very pumped for his family,” Booker said about Russell, who replaced injured Indiana guard Victor Oladipo and will be making his first All-Star appearance at the game in Charlotte.

“Karl, too. Two-time All-Star. I was a little frustrated cause I think he should’ve been in the first time around and I talked about that with him, but I’m happy for both of their families.”

Too bad he won’t be joining them on the Spectrum Center court Sunday night.
