The Grizzlies franchise existed in Vancouver for only six seasons. Now we know it could of been a lot more. According to Tommy Stokke at Today's Fastbreak, the Grizzlies nearly pulled the trigger on getting Nash twice.
The first time was during the 1996 NBA Draft. Vancouver owned the league's third overall pick. They passed on the Canadian national, Santa Clara grad, and instead Nash fell to the Phoenix Suns.
