Sitting in his Suns locker space and wearing a team warmup shirt Friday night, Jawun Evans had his No. 0 jersey hanging behind him all fresh and crisp at Talking Stick Resort Arena.
“I actually wore that number in high school,” said Evans, a 2015 McDonald’s All-American out of Justin F. Kimball High in Dallas. “Just went back to it.”
A happy Evans had just signed a two-way contract with the Suns after averaging 18.5 points, 4.6 assists and 1.6 steals in 14 games with Phoenix’s G League affiliate the Northern Arizona Suns.
“I’m feeling great about it,” Evans said.
