This week, the NBA announced new 11-year media agreements with the Walt Disney Company, NBCUniversal, and Amazon Prime Video.
Amazon, through its new deal with the NBA, is in line to take over the slate of NBA games that have been broadcast on TNT over the last decade. But Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. (“TBS”), the owner of TNT, isn’t quietly letting its almost 40-year broadcasting relationship with the NBA come to an end.
Instead, on Friday, just two days after the NBA announced its new media agreements, TBS took action and filed a lawsuit against the NBA.
