MILWAUKEE – Deandre Ayton had freaking seen more than enough.
Down 19 points to the Milwaukee Bucks with 9:14 left in Game 3 of the NBA Finals, the Phoenix Suns big man stood up and verbally unloaded during a timeout with passion and intensity.
“This is the finals,” said Ayton in recounting his passionate and fiery message to the team. “We’ve got to come to play. This ain’t no first round, second round where you can just hope for another chance. Nah. Everything is important.”
Devin Booker said Ayton has spoken up like this before as this is part of the Suns holding each other accountable, something they’ve done all season long.
